I like the slim width of the unit, the digital temperature controls, and the interior light is a nice touch (the light is not quite bright enough though). It seems well made and is very quiet. With so many brands to choose from, and many negative reviews of most wine coolers, I didn't want to invest in one that I would not be happy with, and the price of this cooler is a steal! After 8 months of experience with the Haier I must say that I'm very satisfied with this wine cooler! I've had zero problems! Even after leaving home for two months this summer, where temps inside my home reached 90 degrees, the cooler worked great! I'm now looking to purchase a larger Haier, 8 bottles is OK, but I'm looking to now move up to 32...! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?
9 of 10 people found the following review helpful  So far, not a bad little unit, April 19, 2012 This review is from: Haier HVTM08ABS 8-Bottle Wine Cellar with Electronic Controls I purchased this small wine cooler to convert into a cigar humidor. So far (it's been about 4 weeks), the unit is working as advertised. The door seal is tight (the humidity holds very steady) and it seems to be a reasonably well constructed unit. The temperature controls are a little difficult to use, but not a show stopper. Once you set the temperature, you don't change it anyway. And it holds the temperature I want (it will not raise the temperature if my room is cooler than 66, but it keeps the temperature steady at 66 when the room gets warmer). Not too noisy, a low hum. The shelves are a little strange, but they were designed for wine bottles, not cigar boxes. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. A nice unit for the price.
